Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at NOFRILLS.
Key Responsibilities:- Train staff to understand policies and procedures, and ensure effective communication with customers.
- Schedule department staff to meet business needs and handle customer complaints efficiently.
- Comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, and ensure staff adherence.
- Train and motivate staff, delegate workload, and prioritize tasks.
- Effectively merchandise advertising and promotional programs, and recommend sales goals.
- Maintain market trend and competitor activity knowledge, and ensure proper product rotation.
- Ensure pricing integrity, and maintain store hygiene standards.
- Assume store responsibility in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm duties.
- 1-3 years of management experience, with 1-3 years of leading the produce department.
- Experience working in meat, deli, and bakery is an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the NOFRILLS concept, and the produce department's impact on store performance.
- Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and ability to manage people.
- Ability to work with minimal functional direction, and solid knowledge of produce area operations and products.
- Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
