Supervisor - Patient Food Services Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Patient Food Services to join our team at St. Boniface Hospital. As a key member of our Food Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service and accuracy in food operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of food service staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and delivery.
  • Manage food procurement and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of new staff members to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality management programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Food Services within the last four (4) years.
  • Experience with CBORD Diet Office Management Software system is preferred.
  • Valid Food Handler Training Certificate required.
  • Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved Food Services Supervisor's course or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in common software applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
