**Job Summary**

The Supervisor, Patient Food Services is responsible for ensuring a high level of service and accuracy through efficient operation and planning of work, supervision of Patient Food Services employees, procurement of patient and office related products, and participation in quality management programs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and direct Patient Food Services employees to ensure efficient operation and high quality service.
  • Procure patient and office related products to meet the needs of the department.
  • Participate in quality management programs to ensure compliance with hospital standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

**Requirements**

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an approved Food Services Supervisor's course or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handler Training Certificate required.
  • Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of common software applications, preferably the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to supervise and direct in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Mature professional manner.
