As a vital member of the Maple Leaf Foods team, the HACCP Compliance Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the establishment's Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) System and associated programs. This position is essential for ensuring that our manufacturing facilities adhere to the highest standards of food safety and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain the HACCP System, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and business requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within existing Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits, including leading sessions as assigned.
- Oversee the cold chain tracking program, ensuring temperature compliance during transit and at storage facilities.
- Act as the onsite resource for resolving discrepancies between systems and addressing concerns from manufacturing facilities.
- Perform daily verification and data management related to outbound and inbound pallet control.
The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary degree in Food Safety, Food Science, or a related field, along with approximately 3-5 years of experience in a food-related Quality Assurance role, preferably within the meat industry. Experience as a HACCP Specialist is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:- Ability to provide Quality Assurance support across various shifts, including weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
