Food Service Team Lead

Meltwich Food Co. is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Hire and manage food service staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime
- Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees through access to community resources, language training, and skills training
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Indigenous people, and visible minorities
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service or a related field
- Permanent work term
- 35 hours per week
- English language required
