Responsibilities:

  • Room Management: Oversee and coordinate restaurant operations. Manage service flow, floor plans, and actively participate in service delivery. Greet guests warmly and ensure exceptional service from start to finish. Handle dining reservations online and by phone. Represent the establishment effectively by managing guest complaints and upholding high service standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dining room manager, head waiters, and other staff members. Provide training to colleagues on service protocols and wine knowledge.
  • Wine Cellar Management: Select and purchase quality wines for our menu. Manage wine inventory and rotation effectively. Create our comprehensive wine list.
  • Customer Advice: Guide guests in wine choices based on their preferences and the dishes they order. Share your expertise on food and wine pairings to enhance their dining experience.
  • Service: Take food and beverage orders, suggesting pairings when appropriate. Describe wine characteristics in an accessible manner. Perform any other related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in wine purchasing, menu creation, and inventory management is essential.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a fine dining setting is required.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is a must.
