Occupational Therapist, Low Vision Specialist

Join Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada, a unique health services organization that serves people who are blind or partially sighted across the country. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide training that empowers clients to develop or restore activities of daily living skills, promote independence, enhance safety and mobility.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct functional low vision assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized plans.
- Teach individuals with partial sight how to maximize residual vision and use optical and non-optical aids.
- Educate clients about their eye condition and vision health, and refer them to other internal and external services as needed.
- Develop and implement client-centered plans for occupational therapy with low vision services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Master of Occupational Therapy Degree
- Current practicing member of the designated provincial Occupational Therapy regulatory body
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal early childhood development
- 3 or more years' experience working with children with vision loss and additional disabling conditions
- ACVREP certification required
