Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Northern Lakes College. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring the selection of qualified and capable employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of Employees: Act as the main point of contact for staffing and recruitment questions and concerns, reviewing staffing requests, and ensuring all information is accurate.
  • Offer of Employment: Evaluate successful candidate's resume, consult the Collective Agreement, and prepare offer documents for review by management.
  • Onboarding and Retention: Facilitate onboarding for new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to integrate smoothly into their roles.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Human Resource Administration or other relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years current progressive Human Resources related experience, preferably working within a unionized environment.
  • A combination of work experience, training, and education may be considered.
  • Registered Professional Recruiter designation would be an asset.
  • Clean Criminal Record prior to commencement.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Must be able to provide a Driver's abstract.
