Position Overview

The CISSS de l'Outaouais is on the lookout for qualified candidates for the role of Service Manager - Research within the Department of Education, University Relations, and Research (DERUR).

This organization encompasses a workforce of 12 across 71 facilities in the Outaouais region, managing an operational budget nearing 1.2 billion dollars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the organization, planning, control, evaluation, quality assurance, and coordination of research support activities under their jurisdiction.
  • Serve as the supervisor for the personnel involved in research services.
  • Collaborate with the Scientific Director of the Research Center and pertinent clinical directions to advocate for, diversify, and streamline research within health and social services in the Outaouais region.
  • Conceive innovative research projects, knowledge mobilization initiatives, and research methodologies in partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Engage in the development and promotion of the Research Center in conjunction with affiliated universities.
  • Administer institutional ethics reviews, the ethical evaluation process, and ensure responsible research practices.
  • Formulate, implement, and revise frameworks, policies, procedures, programs, guides, and regulations pertinent to their areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor budgetary allocations and performance metrics while ensuring ongoing enhancement.
  • Account for the activities and performance within their areas of responsibility, both internally and externally.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or management sciences
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience related to the role
  • Experience in team management is advantageous
  • Any other relevant combination of experience and education may be considered
  • A valid driver's license is required
