Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Daycare Worker Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education
    • Provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
    • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts.
    • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities
    • Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators.
    • Provide visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers.
    • Participate in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation.
    • Support social and labor market integration, including language training and skills development.
  • Support for Youth
    • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
    • Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Support for Veterans
    • Participate in government or community programs that support veterans.
    • Offer mentorship and coaching opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
  • Support for Mature Workers
    • Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers.
    • Offer phased retirement options and flexible work arrangements.
  • Support for Visible Minorities
    • Participate in government or community programs that support visible minorities.
    • Offer mentorship programs and diversity training.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
