About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Promotions Advisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Primary Health Care Central Zone, you will be responsible for developing and managing a broad range of written and visual content for web, social media, educational, and navigational purposes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and/or marketing, with a minimum of five years of experience in content development, communications, or public engagement. You will be responsible for collaborating with various programs and services to create engaging content that meets the needs of our patients and primary care teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing content for web, social media, and educational purposes
  • Collaborating with programs and services to create engaging content
  • Providing guidance and support for consistency in content design and tone
  • Ensuring proper linking with relevant internal and public-facing content
  • Traveling between sites as necessary

About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A university degree in healthcare and/or post-secondary diploma in communication, information technology, marketing/business, journalism, public relations, or other related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in content development, communications, or public engagement
  • Minimum three years of experience writing plain language, accessible content for patients or health professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of tools such as Canva
  • Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Video production and editing experience is an asset
  • Expertise in the development of knowledge translation tools (e.g., infographics, navigational guides, etc.)
  • Ability to negotiate complex issues or difficult scenarios within a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare, information technology, and information management best practices relating to content development and management
  • Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, with proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within teams
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems, content management systems, and terminology is an asset
  • Certificate in project management or organization change management is an asset

Hours
  • Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts may include evening, weekends, and holidays
Compensation and Benefits

$33.13-$41.42 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
