Marketing and Promotions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Promotions Advisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our Primary Health Care Central Zone, you will be responsible for developing and managing a broad range of written and visual content for web, social media, educational, and navigational purposes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in content development, management, and strategy. You will work closely with our programs and services to redesign, rewrite, and review content, ensuring consistency in tone and design. Your expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video production will be essential in creating engaging content for our audiences.
We are looking for a collaborative and innovative individual who can build consensus and work effectively within our team. Your ability to negotiate complex issues and navigate a fast-paced healthcare environment will be valuable assets. About You- University degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years of experience in content development, management, and strategy, preferably in healthcare or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video production.
- Strong background in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a focus on healthcare.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and build consensus within a team.
- Experience working in online environments, managing content, and production of content management and/or learning management systems.
- Understanding of the social determinants of health and health equity.
- Experience working in healthcare or a related field, preferably in a marketing or communications role.
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
- Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts may include evening, weekends, and holidays.
$33.13-$41.42 Hourly.
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
