Actuarial Internship Opportunity at Aon
Aon is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as an Actuarial Intern. As an Actuarial Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including actuarial valuations, costings, and projections, while developing your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of actuarial valuations for funding and accounting purposes;
- Contribute to the development of actuarial costings and projections;
- Provide technical and analytical support to ensure the efficient operation of our clients' pension plan arrangements;
- Read and interpret pension plan texts;
- Update plan records, including membership, contributions, and trust fund reconciliation;
- Complete government filings with pension regulators;
- Calculate benefit entitlements and prepare option packages;
- Participate in internal seminars and technical training sessions;
- Work with Excel-based actuarial tools.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Good organizational and time management skills;
- Proficiency in Excel and Word;
- Previous work experience or actuarial co-op experience in a consulting/insurance environment is an asset;
- Enrollment in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration;
- 2nd work term or above.
