About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consultant to join our team at LifeWorks. As a key member of our Actuarial Consulting practice, you will be responsible for developing strategic long-term plans for our clients' defined benefits pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive and thoughtful consulting to deliver integrative solutions and oversee all aspects of client service.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth for our Retirement Consulting practice.
  • Lead and influence internal and external stakeholders to provide a higher level of actuarial consulting to address complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate with our team to provide strategic guidance, expert analysis, and effective risk management to help our clients offer the best pension plan for their plan members.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in pension plan consulting.
  • Solid understanding of the various pension schemes and actuarial standards of practice within the Public and Private sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial markets, and industry developments and emerging trends related to the pension industry.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship skills to ensure high-quality deliverables and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of mathematical models and statistical analysis.
  • Bilingual (English and French).
