Job Title: Case Manager

At Animikii Ozoson Child Family Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Case Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Case Manager will be responsible for managing a caseload of families in need of supervision, protection services, and support services to maintain children at home. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing child placement services and maintaining culturally appropriate and community connections for each child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate complaints of neglect or abuse and provide case management and case planning to help families maintain children in their own homes.
  • Provide child placement services and maintain culturally appropriate and community connections for each child.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, community services, and other CFS agencies to build a network of Indigenous family support services.
  • Complete all file recording, record keeping, and other required administrative duties.
  • Maintain First Nations or Indigenous community connections for each CIC.
  • Work collaboratively with Ontario First Nations CFS agencies to repatriate permanent wards whenever possible and appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of one-year direct experience in a mandated child and family agency.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply Indigenous approaches in working with families and children.
  • CFSIS/IM experience is an asset.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications, data base systems, email, and use of the Internet.
  • A valid Manitoba Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
