Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Case Manager to join our team at Animikii Ozoson Child Family Services. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in providing support services to families in need, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and promoting cultural connections within our Indigenous community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate complaints of neglect or abuse and provide case management to help families maintain children in their own homes.
  • Provide child placement services and maintain culturally appropriate connections for each child.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, community services, and CFS agencies to build a network of Indigenous family support services.
  • Complete file recording, record keeping, and other required administrative duties.
  • Maintain First Nations or Indigenous community connections for each child in care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of one-year direct experience in a mandated child and family agency.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous approaches in working with families and children.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications, data base systems, email, and use of the Internet.
  • A valid Manitoba Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
