About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Manager to join our team at 570 The Dominion of Canada General. As an Actuarial Manager, you will play a key role in leading our actuarial and analytics efforts, providing strategic guidance and expertise to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actuarial Leadership: Provide analytical thought leadership to support the Bond and Specialty Insurance business units in achieving their profitability and growth objectives.
  • Project Management: Participate in a lead role in the successful execution and completion of assigned strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Independently perform actuarial and analytic analyses to solve business problems and apply judgment appropriately.
  • Communication: Communicates analysis, project results, and other business initiatives to peers and business partners.
  • Talent Development: Retention and development of assigned staff, including performance and personal development goals.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in STEM related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis required.
  • Skills: Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (e.g. SQL, SAS), strong understanding of insurance products and industry, demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
