We are seeking a highly skilled Actuary to join our US Group & Health valuation unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the quarterly reserving and forecasting process, as well as reviewing and signing off on actuarial models and assumptions associated with US G&H business.
Key Responsibilities:- Overall ownership of the DI, GLTD and LTC financial reporting and actuarial deliverables.
- Key reviewer of the end-to-end quarterly valuation production process, year-end reporting requirements, and annual planning with associated assumption setting.
- Presentation of quarterly results to key internal stakeholders, including Group and Local Finance teams.
- Collaboration with the Pricing team to review product performance and improve the actuarial feedback loop.
- Conducting experience studies to support assumption setting for the portfolios.
- Providing leadership and guidance to junior colleagues in key project deliverables and system changes.
- Active contributor to the IFRS17 process improvement for DI, GLTD and LTC business.
As a member of the US Actuarial Management team, you will be part of a dynamic group of 30 actuaries. The Group & Health valuation team is responsible for the valuation and reporting of U.S. Stat, Swiss Stat, IFRS17 and Tax reserves for the company's US Group & Health business.
About You:- You have a University degree in mathematics or actuarial science and a qualified FSA with a minimum of seven years of experience.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Your analytical skills are strong, with experience working in MS Excel, R, Power BI, Axis and/or Prophet.
- Experience working with databases is an asset.
- You are able to work independently and in a team to contribute to the successful delivery of time-sensitive projects.
- Experience with IFRS17 and US Statutory valuation is a plus.
- Experience working with DI and/or health insurance products is an asset.
