Kitchen Supervisor

Join the team at Astoria Hotel as a dedicated culinary professional. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about food and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
- Coordinate and manage special events, ensuring all culinary needs are met.
- Assess food portion sizes and calculate associated costs.
- Design menus and estimate food requirements for successful execution.
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, from complete dishes to individual items.
- Accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions by preparing suitable dishes.
- Prepare and cook specialized meals for patients as directed by dietitians or chefs.
- Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
- Manage inventory by ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen personnel and assist them in their tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas.
This is a permanent position requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The primary language of communication in this role is English.
