About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Officer to join our team at Transource Freightways Ltd. as an Administrative Coordinator in the Claims Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Evaluate Claims Procedures

Assess and refine our claims processing procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Delegate Tasks to Office Support Staff

Effectively delegate tasks to office support staff to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Establish Work Priorities and Ensure Compliance

Establish clear work priorities and ensure that all procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Coordinate Office Services

Coordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.

Assist in Budget Preparation and Maintenance

Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.

Prepare Reports and Correspondence

Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.

Perform Data Entry and Training

Perform data entry and train staff as needed.

Oversee Office Administrative Procedures

Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures.

Resolve Conflict Situations

Resolve conflict situations in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma.

Experience

Experience is an asset.

Work Setting

Transportation company.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

Proficient in electronic mail, spreadsheet, accounting software, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and large workload.

Personal Suitability

Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, ability to multitask, time management, adaptability, integrity, and team player.
