Job Summary

The HR Pro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Branch Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our real estate branch, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide overall management, direction, and leadership to the branch employees and real estate agents.
    • Act as the direct line between the corporate office and the branch location.
  • Branch Operations
    • Ensure the efficient daily operations of the branch office.
    • Support the agents and branch staff in achieving their professional goals and job responsibilities.
  • Business Development
    • Drive branch growth through the recruitment of agents to achieve annual goals.
    • Interview and recruit new and experienced agents, introduce them to our program, review policies and procedures, and assist with onboarding.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to branch staff and agents.
    • Ensure that branch staff are fully onboarded and trained, and that the administrative needs of the branch are being met.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Assist administration to ensure compliance with all real estate laws and rules and regulations.
    • Effectively handle all consumer and colleague complaints, as well as legal actions from RECO and TREB with support and input from corporate counsel.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Promote a positive attitude and atmosphere, instilling 'teamwork' and personal growth throughout the branch.
    • Field complaints and requests in a professional manner, working together to reach a mutual outcome for both parties.
  • Performance Management
    • Evaluate the performance of Sales Representatives and staff, and work with them to continually improve performance.
    • Determine the appropriate compensation packages for administrative and support staff.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Cooperatively develop and implement the approved annual operating plan.
    • Stay current in the real estate industry via research, meetings, conferences, and industry networks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in real estate.
  • Minimum 5 years of real estate management experience.
  • Registered Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Council of Ontario.
  • Good standing with Real Estate Board and RECO.
  • Additional certifications/designations are an asset.
  • Hands-on knowledge of residential real estate brokerage and branch operations.
  • Well-developed business, financial, and administrative management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in current technology with the ability to adapt to new technology.
  • Team player, approachable, supportive, positive, responsive, respectful, and transparent.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to multi-task various projects while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Performance management: ability to plan and implement objectives and evaluate performance to ensure goal accomplishment.
