Co-op Test Engineer Lab Assistant

As a Test Engineering Co-op, you'll play a key role in supporting our test development engineers in the development and execution of manual and automated tests to verify the functionality of variable frequency drives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scripts for automating test procedures
  • Document test procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Execute test procedures to verify product functionality, both manually and through automation
  • Create comprehensive test reports and present findings to the team
  • Assist with lab audits and improvement activities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including schematics, test documents, and configuration documents
  • Collaborate with the team to build and commission test hardware platforms

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Available to work a minimum of 9 months consecutively, starting in September 2024
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Available to work 12 months (September 2025)
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a testing lab environment
  • Panel wiring experience and knowledge of PLC programming and control systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and experience with C,.NET, VB, or equivalent
