Co-op Test Engineer Lab Assistant

At Rockwell Automation, we're committed to helping manufacturers be more productive, sustainable, and agile. As a Test Engineering Co-op, you'll play a key role in supporting our test development engineers in the development and execution of manual and automated tests to verify the functionality of variable frequency drives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scripts for automating test procedures
- Document test procedures and maintain accurate records
- Execute test procedures to verify product functionality, both manually and through automation
- Create comprehensive test reports to ensure transparency and accountability
- Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance lab efficiency
- Assist with the maintenance of documentation, including schematics, test documents, and configuration documents
- Support the build and commissioning of test hardware platforms
Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Available to work a minimum of 9 months consecutively, starting in September 2024
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Available to work 12 months (September 2024 to August 2025)
- Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Previous internship or co-op experience in a testing lab environment
- Experience with panel wiring, AutoCAD, PLC programming, and control systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience with C,.NET, VB, or equivalent programming languages
Compensation:
The Base Salary Compensation for this role is from $18 to $36 per hour (CAN). Our benefits package includes a comprehensive range of perks and rewards to support your well-being and career growth.
