As a School Bus Driver with First Student Canada, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $24.75, depending on the route. We also offer additional benefits, including:

  • A $313 bonus at 3 months of service and another $313 at 6 months of service for drivers with a Class 1 or 2 License
  • A 4-hour guarantee
  • The opportunity to bring your young children on the bus with you
  • Additional hours available through charter route opportunities
  • No nights or weekends

About the Position

As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting students to and from school safely
  • Using our industry-leading technology to guide you through your daily routes
  • Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to prioritize vehicle maintenance
  • Providing support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus

Qualifications

To be successful as a School Bus Driver, you will need:

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • To be at least 21 years old
  • A valid driver's license for at least 1 year
  • To undergo and pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks
