About the Role:

The Senior Program Manager, Standards Development is a key member of our team at Accreditation Canada, reporting to the Director, Standards. Our team is responsible for creating high-quality standards and assessment programs that promote excellence in healthcare and social services. As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the design, co-production, and release of evidence-based standards in collaboration with our team, subject matter experts, and Technical Committee members.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of people-centered, evidence-based standards that meet the needs of our stakeholders
  2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as those set by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua)
  3. Plan, document, and manage project requirements and scope to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery
  4. Continuously improve and innovate our standards development processes to ensure they remain effective and efficient
  5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including national subject matter experts, people with lived experience, policy leaders, and healthcare providers

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in a related field, such as Health Sciences, Health Policy, or Business Administration
  2. Clinical experience in a large healthcare organization as a regulated healthcare provider in good standing
  3. Progressive leadership experience (5-7 years)
  4. Standards development and/or accreditation experience (5-7 years)
  5. Exceptional writing, editing, facilitation, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  7. Knowledge of the health and social services legislative, regulatory, policy, research, and health system landscape
