Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our team at King's Energy Services Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the service and repair of pressure relief device valves, ensuring adherence to quality and safety processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and inspect valves using various tools and equipment.
  • Clean and prepare valves for inspection, using solvents and tools as necessary.
  • Enter information for valves into a computer tracking system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assemble valves in accordance with OEM specifications, using various tools and equipment.
  • Test valves to code and specifications, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Paint and tag valves to like-new condition, sealing valves in accordance with code.
  • Travel to other branch locations or work on the mobile onsite unit to meet operational needs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Safety Relief Valve servicing, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of repair and testing of Safety Relief Valves, including technical specifications.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract, and any relevant safety certifications (e.g. Forklift, Overhead Crane, First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Shop and field environments, with potential to travel to other branches or work on the onsite mobile unit.
  • Must be available during busy turnaround schedules, with a willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Steel-toed boots required, with exposure to sudden loud noises, harsh cleaning chemicals, and other hazards.
