About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at ARZ Contracting Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to construct and renovate residential and commercial structures
  • Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers on site
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in carpentry or a related trade is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to perform manual labour and work at heights
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.
