Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team at Oakes Truck Sales. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including engine, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, fuel and emission systems, and brake systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
- Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
- Strong knowledge of commercial transport truck systems, including engine, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
