Job Description

B TOWN STICKERS is seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass and other materials in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Cut Glass: Measure and cut glass to fit specific openings and requirements.
  • Install Glass: Install glass panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for glass installation projects.
  • Train Apprentices: Instruct and train apprentices in glass installation techniques and best practices.
  • Prepare Shop Drawings: Create detailed drawings and specifications for glass installation projects.
  • Assemble and Dismantle Scaffolding: Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment as needed.
  • Supervise Workers: Supervise and coordinate the work of other glaziers and installation teams.
  • Transport Glass: Safely transport cases of glass to and from job sites.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for glass installation projects.
  • Work at Heights: Work safely at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, as required.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for glass installation projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
