**Key Responsibilities**

  • Train and develop a high-performing team of produce staff to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Schedule and manage the produce department to meet business needs, ensuring adequate staffing and inventory levels.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, food safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising and promotional strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to inform business decisions and optimize produce department performance.
  • Manage inventory levels, receiving, storing, and handling produce to ensure efficient and effective results.
  • Ensure proper product rotation, pricing integrity, and signage to enhance sales and profits.
  • Assume accountability for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.

**Requirements**

  • 2 years of management experience in a retail or grocery store environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for a discount food store, including low price image and customer focus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work with minimal functional direction and make sound business decisions.
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of the produce area, operations, and products.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to the needs of the business.
