About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist to join our implementation team at Verafin. The successful candidate will be responsible for deciphering, mapping, cleansing, transforming, and ensuring the quality of customer data during the migration process into our solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret customer-provided data, often in the form of spreadsheets, to understand structure and content.
  • Data Mapping and Cleansing: Map customer data to our internal data model, ensuring compatibility and integrity, and perform data cleansing and transformations to rectify any inconsistencies, errors, or omissions in the source data.
  • Data Transformation and Migration: Develop and execute scripts or use ETL tools to automate the data transformation and migration process.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of the migrated data.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the Implementation and Customer Success teams to understand specific customer requirements and ensure data migration aligns with business needs, and provide support and troubleshooting during and after the migration process to address any data-related issues.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document data migration processes and maintain comprehensive records for auditing and troubleshooting purposes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in data migration, cleansing, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet manipulation in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Proficiency in using ETL tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data modelling and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
