CB Canada is seeking a dedicated Software Asset Management Specialist to enhance our operational efficiency within the Financial Services Sector.
Role Overview
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of software assets.
- Conduct asset tracking and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Implement governance practices to uphold asset management standards among internal teams and service providers.
- Engage in product evaluations, service offerings, and contract negotiations while managing vendor relationships.
- Gather and clarify information regarding licensing, product modifications, pricing, and invoicing, facilitating necessary adjustments.
- Maintain updated asset inventories and IT tools, ensuring accurate tracking for billing purposes.
- Monitor software license entitlements and maintain records based on software acquisitions.
- Execute inventory data cleanup and manage evergreening or decommissioning tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures, processes, and documentation for asset management.
- Provide expertise and support in collaboration with internal and external teams on related projects.
- Create analytical reports and dashboards to streamline asset tracking and reporting activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 4 years in software asset management or IT/Cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of software licensing with major vendors.
- Experience in customer service interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Results-driven with robust planning and organizational skills.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Experience with SAM tool configuration is advantageous.
- Asset management certification is a plus.
Work Arrangement
This position offers a hybrid work model.
