Position Overview: As the Software Engineering Team Leader for Dungeons & Dragons, you will spearhead a dedicated team tasked with the reconstruction of essential game data and rules implementation services for our digital platform, D&D Beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive development lifecycle of D&D Beyond's new game data and rules implementation services, encompassing design, development, testing, and deployment to ensure a seamless workflow.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers, nurturing a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, UX designers, business intelligence analysts, and cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop product roadmaps, and guarantee successful project execution.
  • Advise on the architecture and implementation of scalable and efficient web application solutions, ensuring high standards of efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience managing software engineering teams of 5 or more engineers.
  • Approximately 2 years of prior experience as a software engineer with expertise in web stack technologies and cloud-based web application development.
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, and industry-standard processes.
  • Solid grasp of web application performance optimization, security, and usability principles.
  • Experience in driving operational excellence and utilizing observability tools for monitoring, logging, and tracing.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with familiarity in C# and the .NET framework.
