At Davidson Contract Services, we are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are safe and operational. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain commercial transport trucks, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Discuss work with supervisor and confirm findings to determine whether to repair or replace units
  • Estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks
Requirements
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Team player with excellent client focus
