Job Title: Quartermaster Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quartermaster Coordinator to join our team at Commissionaires Canada.

Job Summary:

The Quartermaster Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the movement of inventory, including placing orders, receiving deliveries, and distributing items to our Commissionaires. This role requires strong planning, organizational, and management skills, as well as a focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain proper inventory levels in the warehouse to meet the operational demands of the Commissionaires-Ottawa Clothing Store
  • Control the movement of inventory between the warehouse and the clothing store
  • Perform timely monthly inventory counts and investigate any discrepancies
  • Maintain a record of spoiled, damaged, or written-off items
  • Prepare purchase orders, receive material from suppliers, and ensure quality assurance
  • Maintain relationships with various suppliers and resolve shortages, missed deliveries, and other issues
  • Issue uniforms to security guards, handle returns, and maintain records
  • Take measurements of guards who require assistance with sizing for their uniforms
  • Order clothing items, assess, prepare, and approve alteration requests
  • Review and manage customer queries received by phone, email, and in person

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Administration or a related field
  • At least 2 years of previous experience with inventory control, warehousing, or a similar field
  • Reliability security clearance
  • Fluent English and French language skills
