Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our restaurant.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety in the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet the demands of our restaurant.
  • Cash Handling and Reporting: Manage cash handling and reporting in the kitchen, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff. Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen.
  • Availability and Reliability: Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
