We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at White Tail Automation. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our clients in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PLC/HMI/Scada programs for automation systems
- Perform FAT, commissioning, and field service for automation systems
- Develop technical documentation for automation systems, including control narratives, test procedures, user manuals, and installation/commissioning manuals
- Provide support to project managers with a solid understanding of project execution procedures and functions, such as scheduling, budget development and maintenance, and scope tracking
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate testing and commissioning of automation systems
- 5+ years of experience in PLC/HMI design and programming in the oil and gas industry
- Experience with PLC programming using vendor systems such as Wonderware, Rockwell Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Horner, Moscad, and Ace Motorola Controllers, GE iFix
- Experience with HMI programming using vendor systems such as Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell Factory Talk SE, Factory Link, Citect, Telvent, etc.
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes
- Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel and work away from home
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work successfully both individually and within team environments
