Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Security Guard to join our team at Footprints Security. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing a secure and safe environment for our clients and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Presence: Provide a visible security presence in various settings, including offices, malls, parks, and events.
  • Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service to clients and the public, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Property and Personnel Safety: Ensure client property and personnel are safe and secure, conducting regular patrols and monitoring activities.
  • Foot Patrols: Conduct foot patrols, including standing and walking, to maintain a visible presence and deter potential security threats.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact with a wide range of people in varied environments, demonstrating compassion and respect in all interactions.
  • Enforcement of Private Property Laws: Compassionately and respectfully enforce private property laws, ensuring the rights of clients and the public are protected.
  • Incident Reporting: Observe, record, and report activities and security incidents while on shift, providing accurate and timely information to management.
Requirements
  • BC Security Licence: Possess or be able to obtain a BC Security Licence, demonstrating a commitment to upholding security standards.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively interact with clients and the public.
  • Calm Demeanor: Demonstrate a calm demeanor and sound decision-making skills, remaining composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic computer and smartphone skills, able to use technology to support security operations.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrate a strong desire to provide excellent customer service, prioritizing the needs of clients and the public.
