Rolling Mill Technician

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Setup Technician to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our Extrusion department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day setup and maintenance of rolling mills, ensuring the highest possible customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain rolling mills in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide technical support to Extrusion Operators during the operation of the line.
- Polish roll sets after removal and store them in a designated area.
- Report any roll or die issues or abnormalities to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow standardized work instructions and procedures.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to inspect and maintain rolling mills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial field.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of Extrusion processes and profiles, with the ability to methodically problem-solve mechanical and process issues.
- Able to lift 50lbs to the waist and 40lbs overhead.
- Certified forklift operator, an asset.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset.
