Rolling Mill Operator

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-up Operator to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill equipment, maintaining high-quality production standards, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and prepare the rolling mill for operation, ensuring all safety checks are completed and recorded.
- Operate and maintain rolling mill controls, tooling protection, and other equipment as required.
- Monitor and maintain inspection records, SPC charts, and checking fixtures to ensure quality control.
- Operate measuring equipment, such as vernier calipers and gauges, to ensure accurate measurements.
- Start and shut down equipment as required to run the rolling mill.
- Perform induction welding and other tasks as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth production operations.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, and follow Mytox BOS procedures.
- Knowledge of rolling mill operations and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands.
- Valid forklift license and ability to operate 6000 lb. to 12000 lb. lift trucks.
- Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out appropriate papers.
- Crane certificate or ability to operate 10 to 40 ton cranes with appropriate sling or chain.
