Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join our team at Robert Bosch Group. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of our manufacturing assembly lines, leading software development and PLC programming projects, and driving process improvements to meet our Policy Deployment objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Line Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our 11 manufacturing assembly lines with 1-second cycle times and fully automatic processes.
  • Project Leadership: Lead software development, PLC programming, and IT infrastructure implementation projects to drive process improvements and meet business objectives.
  • Process Control: Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans, including process flow diagrams, PQIs, and standard work instructions, to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve quality issues related to automated equipment to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
  • Analytics and Data: Actively participate in daily management of the area using analytics and data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance and meet KPIs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronic or related) and 3+ years of technical experience.
  • Technical Skills: PLC and drive programming experience, vision systems (Keyence, SensoPart, Cognex), data analytics tools (PowerBI), and working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle) and IT concepts (VMs, networking).
  • Industry Experience: Experience in high-volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Project leadership skills, ability to prioritize workload, work on cross-functional teams, and travel for training, projects, and IPN activities.
