About the Role

The Ottawa Department of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director, Canadian National PET Centre. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the advancement of cardiac imaging and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of physicians, imaging scientists, nurses, and technologists to ensure excellence in clinical care and research initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance the Centre's reputation as an international leader in clinical care, training, and research.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding for research initiatives and develop partnerships with industry and academia.
  • Ensure the Centre's operations are aligned with the Department's strategic objectives and maintain high-quality imaging services for patient care and research.
Requirements
  • FRCPC certification in Cardiology (or equivalent) and Level 3 fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology.
  • Member of, or eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
  • Eligible to practice medicine in Ontario.
  • Significant academic profile with a demonstrated track record of high-quality research.
