Overview of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the clinical manager, the selected candidate will conduct diagnostic imaging examinations of organ function utilizing radioactive materials to aid physicians in their diagnostic processes. The role involves applying various techniques to generate images for both radiological and nuclear medicine assessments. Given the nature of radioactive materials utilized in this field, it is imperative for the incumbent to consistently follow safety protocols and stringent radioprotection guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves, patients, and the environment.

Qualifications


• A diploma in nuclear medicine technology is required;

• Must be an active member of the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OTRMO);

• Must be an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (ACTRM);

• A valid CPR certification is necessary;

• At least six (6) months of experience as a licensed technologist in a healthcare facility;

• Proficiency in both official languages (French and English) at an intermediate level is essential.

Preferred Qualifications


• Familiarity with PACS and Meditech systems is advantageous.
