Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Director of Project Management to lead our project delivery efforts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects while managing risks and fostering talent for current and future initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe execution of projects, ensuring adherence to risk management protocols.
- Attract and retain skilled professionals to support project delivery and growth.
- Provide strategic leadership in identifying and pursuing project opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations on secured projects.
- Deliver projects in accordance with established timelines and budgets, meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with each project, including technical, statutory, and health and safety concerns.
- Enhance profitability through effective cost management and subcontractor negotiations.
- Develop long-term project pipelines by identifying and planning future opportunities.
- Collaborate with management to identify project opportunities and promote business through case studies and site tours.
- Manage the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Drive new sales initiatives to surpass financial targets.
- Explore innovative solutions and technologies to generate project opportunities.
- Lead the sales process through effective communication and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to secure project wins.
- Facilitate effective business communication and contribute to management discussions and reporting.
- Uphold and promote the core values of ACML.
- Support the professional development of team members.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the business unit.
- Ensure compliance with governance and processes across project delivery.
- Manage financial forecasts for the business unit.
- Address personnel issues and manage performance effectively.
- Negotiate contractual terms and resolve disputes as necessary.
- Lead project review meetings focusing on health, safety, and financial compliance.
Qualifications
- Technical qualifications in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields (preferred).
- Degree in Project/Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (preferred).
- Proven experience in managing bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Willingness to travel as needed for operational support and training.
- Accountability to senior leadership within the organization.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with clients and project teams.
- Full responsibility for the financial performance of the business unit.
- Experience in managing teams and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards across all operations.
