WRHA Community Health Services is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals in their homes and communities. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Health Care Aide to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
Job SummaryAs a Health Care Aide, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver personalized care and support to clients. You will assist with daily living activities, promote client well-being, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Monitor client vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document client care activities accurately and thoroughly.
- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
- Knowledge of Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competency in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
