Culinary Operations Supervisor

The Food Service Supervisor at St Bar $ Grill plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services. This position involves overseeing food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Educational Requirements- Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience is preferred.
This role is set within a vibrant restaurant atmosphere, requiring a dynamic approach to food service management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective work schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Ensure that food quality and service meet established standards.
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates for food service operations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Compile and submit operational reports.
- Prepare food order summaries for the culinary team.
- Possess knowledge of various culinary styles relevant to the establishment.
- Oversee the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This position involves supervising a team of approximately 11-15 individuals, including:
- Cooks (general)
- Food and beverage servers
- Food service counter attendants and food preparers
- Kitchen and food service helpers
A criminal record check is required for this position.
Transportation RequirementsApplicants must have their own transportation.
Work ConditionsThe role is set in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure. Physical capabilities include:
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Attention to detail is essential.
