{"h1": "Environmental Law and Policy Instructor", "p": "Georgian College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Environmental Law and Policy related courses in the Environmental Technician/Technology Program. The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging curriculum to meet course objectives, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies to meet student needs.

Responsibilities:

* Design and deliver Environmental Law and Policy (LAWS2010) and Stakeholder Engagement and Management (ENVR 3015) courses
* Develop and deliver appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives
* Evaluate student learning progress and academic achievement
* Participate in program and college activities as required
* Participate in program revision and renewal activities as required
* Create and maintain a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

* Master\u2019s degree in environmental science, resource management, biology, ecology, earth sciences or related field
* Minimum of five years\u2019 experience in a related industry (e.g. municipal or provincial government, engineering firm, conservation authority, etc.)
* Strong working knowledge of Canadian and Ontario environmental legislation and regulations
* Experience in Environmental policy development, implementation, and monitoring
* Experience in approaches to stakeholder identification, issues analysis, and engagement strategies
* Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
* Commitment to life-long learning
* Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
* Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
* Teaching and Training Adults certification is an asset
