Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain cleanliness.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly.
- Window and Surface Care: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to ensure a pristine appearance.
- System Adjustments: Make minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; coordinate with tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contractor Liaison: Contact contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Appliance Repairs: Perform minor repairs on appliances as needed.
- Safety Checks: Conduct safety and security inspections regularly.
- Heavy Lifting: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
- Routine Maintenance: Carry out other maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
- Gardening: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens.
- Sanitation: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to ensure hygiene.
- Independence: Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
- Snow and Ice Removal: Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
- Physical demands include handling heavy loads and performing tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Dependable and reliable with excellent oral communication skills.
- Flexible and able to take initiative when necessary.
- Organized with sound judgment.
- No formal degree required; however, relevant experience is beneficial.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Free parking available for employees.
- Permanent position with working hours ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Work language: English.
