R&D Pilot Facilities Coordinator Job Description

At McCain Foods, we are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. As a R&D Pilot Facilities Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the setup and execution of pilot trials, ensuring that all necessary equipment and resources are available.
  • Work closely with the trial lead to develop and implement trial protocols, ensuring that all safety and food safety requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost savings opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of McCain's products, processes, and technologies to provide expert guidance and support to the research and development team.
  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Licensed Industrial Electrician certification.
  • Strong understanding of steam generation, water distribution management, HVAC systems, propane, lab equipment, and building aspects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
