Position Overview

Are you passionate about delivering patient and family-centered healthcare? As a vital member of the interprofessional team in Primary Care, you will contribute to innovative care solutions.

In alignment with a person and family-centered care approach and Northern Health's vision for a comprehensive service system grounded in Primary Health Care, the Primary Care Occupational Therapist (OT) collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create tailored care plans and provide health services coordinated through the Primary Care Home. The OT adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.

The OT is responsible for delivering competent, safe, and ethical care to individuals and their families across various settings, including medical practices, residences, facilities, and community environments. By applying evidence-informed practices, the OT aims to achieve effective outcomes that enhance participation in meaningful activities. Through thorough clinical assessments, strategic treatment planning, and recommended interventions, the occupational therapist plays a crucial role in realizing the comprehensive care plan devised by the interprofessional team, informed by the individual's personal care goals.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - Day shifts - 08:00 to 16:00

Compensation: The new wage is set at $52.95/hour.

Qualifications Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
